About Hotel Saint‑Sulpice

Welcome

Hotel Saint-Sulpice: a historic gem in the heart of old Montreal

Welcome to Hotel Saint-Sulpice, an emblematic presence in Old Montreal. Standing on a storied site once home to the residences of Charles Le Moyne and Jacques Le Ber—two noteworthy 17th-century figures—our hotel honours this rich heritage. In 1999, archaeological digs uncovered historic stone foundations, bearing witness to the area’s timeless past.

Established in 2001, Hotel Saint-Sulpice seamlessly blends modern elegance with historic resonance. The engraved “S” on our doors symbolizes this harmony between past and present. This unique location also reflects the district’s revitalization following the 1996 restoration of the Old Port, setting the stage for a hotel experience that celebrates both history and contemporary refinement.

We invite you to explore our property and immerse yourself in the captivating story that defines it.

  • FAMDESIGN

Hotel Saint-Sulpice has partnered with FAMDESIGN, an interior design studio led by Laurence and Vanessa, to reimagine our 108 suites. Their all-female team sources local materials, blending Montreal’s authentic character with tones inspired by our gastronomy, culture, and history.

This thoughtful approach ensures a sustainable, elegant design where every detail harmonizes comfort and refinement.

  • L'Atelier Mezari

In collaboration with L’Atelier Mezari—renowned for hand-screened wallpapers and textiles—we’ve added a unique artistic dimension to our suites. Artist Stéphanie Coleman designed custom headboard wallpaper, handcrafted in Chicago, depicting Montreal’s emblematic landmarks.
